15th International HHT Scientific Conference

Many members of the Meadows lab had the pleasure to attend the international conference hosted by Cure HHT, which brings together researchers, patients, and physicians!

Shreya, Adella, and Anirban presented posters.

All three graduate students were awarded Young Investigator Travel Funding.

Stryder and Shreya were invited to give presentations on ANG2 and ANG2/VEGF inhibition, respectively, to rescue AVM formation in HHT mouse models.

Adella was invited to give a data blitz introducing the new LOH mouse model, and she won Best Basic Science Poster Award!

TRICS Poster 2024

Two members of Meadows lab won awards for their poster presentations at the Second Annual Tulane Research, Innovation, and Creativity Summit, TRICS, 2024.

Adella Guidroz was awarded the Graduate Student Best Poster Award for the second year in a row.

Andrew Hancock was awarded the Undergraduate Student Best Poster Award!

This was his first ever poster presentation, and we are proud of this accomplishment!

Shreya and Adella received funding through the NIH

Both doctoral candidates were awarded F31 funding for two years for their respective projects!

Adella’s project titled “Evaluating the Impact of Loss of Heterozygosity on Localized AVM Formation in HHT” uses a new mouse model to better represent patient genotype and monitor disease progression.

Shreya’s project entitled “Uncovering the Combined Effects of VEGFA and ANG2 Pro-Angiogenic Signaling in Hereditary Hemorrhagic Telangiectasia” utilizes a dual VEGF/ANG2 bi-specific inhibitor to uncover potential synergism between these two pathways.
